YouThrive Ponchatoula started as Strawberry Patch Pediatrics and Family Clinic and opened its doors in late 2019 with Dr. Laura L. Drake, MD as its founder. Presently it is staffed by a Pediatrician, a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practioner, a Licensed Master Social Worker, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Registered Nurse, a Medical Assistant, and Office Manager, as well as a Receptionist who is dedicated to providing quality health care. We are committed to physical, mental, and social health for children, adults, and families, and to that end, our staff and employees work tirelessly in ensuring the well-being of all in our community.


Dr. Laura L. Drake, MD and the clinic’s team treat babies, toddlers, children, teens, and young adults. In addition to pediatric care, we also offer family and adult health services. With over 48 years of combined caring, it is our staff’s mission for every child in our care to grow up happy, healthy and fit. Our clinic is conveniently located in Ponchatoula’s business park so that your family can get comprehensive care close to home.
